In this study, we propose the design and implementation of a wireless monitoring system using the Internet of Things (IoT) for the smart irrigation of potato crops at the “El Fundo Huaylacucho” estate. Agriculture in this region faces challenges related to water availability and irrigation efficiency. The proposed system includes sensors that collect data on soil moisture, ambient temperature, environmental humidity, and a 1602 display. These data are gathered by sensors controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller and then transmitted via Wi-Fi to a central cloud platform, ThingSpeak, for monitoring, analysis, and control, where the data can be viewed using a computer and mobile device. The expected benefits include optimized irrigation, as well as water savings and increased production in potato cultivation, leading to significant improvement. Consequently, this project will contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture, benefiting both farmers and the environment.
