Objective: determine the factors associated with non-adherence to ART in patients with HIV at the Las Mercedes Hospital – Chiclayo in the year 2024. Materials and methods: this research study has a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational approach. The study will be carried out in the City of Chiclayo. The population is made up of 1,072 patients who attend their appointments at the Las Mercedes Hospital; the selection of the sample in the work will be a probabilistic approach with a total of 283 patients after using deduction. With the development of data selection, the survey technique was used, the instruments used in the work will be questionnaires: to evaluate the variable of associated factors and additionally the variable of adherence to ART. Results: in order to analyze the figures obtained, descriptive statistical methods will be used that contain fundamental indices, references and tests to test the research assumptions linked to the variable in application. Conclusions: it will serve as a reference for future studies in the health area. It will be a relevant example for the examination of the variables in question and their connection, being a case that will guide consecutive investigations in a useful way.
