Objective: to identify the factors related to the formation of pressure injuries in patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Hospital II EsSalud, Huaraz, 2024. Materials and methods: this study will adopt a quantitative approach. Regarding the design, it will be descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional. It will be carried out in the city of Lima. The population will be composed of 48 patients admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital. The study sample will be comprised by the total population. Sampling will be done through a purposive, non-probabilistic sampling method. The collection of information necessary for this study will be carried out through the observation technique, using a validated and reliable observation guide. Results: the information obtained will be transcribed into a double-entry matrix previously elaborated in Excel and the latest version of SPSS software will be used for data analysis. Finally, the corresponding tables and/or graphs will be made. Conclusions: the present investigation will make it possible to obtain precisely which factors are related to the formation of pressure injuries in patients admitted to the hospital's ICU.
