In this document, the evaluation of the loading and haulage process was carried out with Talpac software simulation to improve productivity at La Arena open pit. To achieve this, a diagnosis was carried out, which involved analysing the current productivity situation and the operational characteristics of the loading and haulage equipment. This included the collection of information on equipment availability, throughput rates and loading and haulage times, along with other factors influencing their operational efficiency. The parameters needed to create a haulage route simulation model were then defined in detail. These parameters covered aspects such as equipment capacity, distances between key locations in the mine, haulage speeds and operational constraints. The Talpac software was then applied to carry out the route planning simulation of the loading and haulage equipment. The previously defined parameters were configured, and simulations were carried out to evaluate different possible operating scenarios. Finally, in the fourth stage, the results obtained from the simulation were compared with real operating data. This comparison made it possible to identify that it is better to operate with 6 mining trucks from Phase 8 to the dump. This would increase the productivity of the hydraulic excavator. Also, in rainy season is important to take care of the haul road because a variation of 2% of the rolling resistance has a significant impact (2.45%) in the productivity.
