Currently the competitive environment of the global market is characterized by the variant and diversified changes of the clients regarding a product or service. So, organizations must find themselves in the constant search for continuous improvement in their processes so as not to disappear over time. One of the most important sectors in the country is the manufacturing sector, which represents a relevant part of the economy, however, a large part of the industries in this sector has deficiencies in their supply chains and operating processes, which directly affects the total costs and its production. In Peru, only 30% of organizations have competitive supply chains. Therefore, the objective of this research is to provide an improvement proposal based on the tools provided by the Just in Time methodology and the concepts of Minimum Repair, to solve a relevant problem in the mentioned sector taking as a reference a case study. This research will serve as a basis for future research or studies and will contribute in this way to the scientific community, with a proposal that seeks to optimize maintenance, production, and supply processes in mass consumption companies to avoid stops in the production lines and therefore breaches in the production plan. Among the main findings found after running the simulation with the arena program was an 8% improvement in production plan compliance, and machine availability was increased by up to 75%.
