There are cycling routes in Lima city that doesn’t keep the necessary requirements to provide adequate travel routes to bicycle users. Interrupted bikeways and located in high traffic flow areas demonstrate that a correct management process has not been executed in many districts of the capital, which leads to a sense of vulnerability from the users at the using moment. Therefore, a planning of a cycling route is proposed in one of the main and most emerging districts of Lima, Jesús María, using the mathematical models of travel estimation form the company Ferh & Peers and the cycling demand analysis as basis, later, the latent demand model will be used to define the travel routes. The results of the calculations made by using the corresponding mathematical models indicate that 26,50 % of the trips in the district can be made by using a bicycle. As a result, it is required to trace different cycling routes considering urban attractor points that may generate a higher trips demand. By the application of the latent demand model, 595 possible trip routes among many urban attractor points were identified, outstanding: Rebagliati Hospital, Mall Real Plaza Salaverry, Av. Brasil galleries and the Military Hospital. The route lines not only considerate the previous urban attractors, but also the path of the possible routes and the design knowledge at the route tracing moment.
