ABSTRACT The present research report refers to the extent to which the proposal and implementation the Lean Manufacturing methodoly will improve productivity levels in the production line of the fundas of the company Polybags -Perú S.R.L. This product has increased production due to the demand that currently has in the banana sector. So was the need to improve the processes of this production line. Then proposing and implementing Lean Manufacturing tools will improve productivity levels, starting with the application of the diagnostic tool (Value Stream Map) achieving identify three waste (defects, unnecessary movements and unnecessary Transport). Including productivity indicators (manpower, machine performance and raw material) and Lean Manufacturing (Total Cycle Time, Global Equipment Efficiency, % Level of Compliance, Quality at First, Used Space, Kg of Defects) which allowed us to determine the present situation of the company. To reduce the identified waste it was established implement the operational tools (5S and Autonomous Maintenance), thus preventing accelerated equipment deterioration and maintain an environment neat, clean, safe and pleasant work for employees; quality (Jidoka), which helped reduce the continuity of defects (broken balloon, wrong print, black dots, and Coil crushed and cut in the coil) in order to obtain quality early in the product; Monitoring (Visual Control), so that the employees be alert and informed of any important situation so that help prevent and eliminate waste; continuous improvement (Kaizen), in order to optimize the distribution of work areas and maximize the functionality of the location of equipment, improving working conditions and reducing transport and unnecessary movement. After the investigation is confirmed that the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools better level of productivity and company performance Polybags be generated - Peru SRL. In addition, it is advisable to raise the awareness of administrative and productive staff before and after the implementation of these tools, so that they commit to continuous improvement as the "Lean Culture" is implemented.
