ABSTRACT From our research in the human resources consulting sector, especially in topics regarding the inclusion of disabled people, we have identified a business opportunity: how to build an effective and sustainable inclusion process of disabled people for operational and mid-level job positions in the city of Lima. These investigations have originated in the better understanding of the Law No. 29973 General Law on Persons with Disabilities, which states specifically in Article 56 paragraph 2 as follows: "The obligation of private employers with more than 50 employees to hire disabled in an amount not less than 3% of its entire staff, is annually "and that in 2013 the process was initiated to determine its effectiveness in the legal framework of the country until its publication on 8 April 2014. This opportunity consists on developing a service that identifies and tackles the challenges that arise when it comes to include people with disabilities: the recruitment and selection of the best fit, the orientation program, the performance assessment; but above all, identifying the organizational factors that might facilitate and/or hinder the right inclusion, and then providing practical steps to carry out a real inclusion. This is what will enable to measure and assess the impact of this new employee within the organization. Our business plan seeks to meet the needs of the enterprises by providing an integral service. Our proposal consists on “Being the best, trustworthy, and effective advisor in Lima regarding the inclusion of disabled people, contributing with the competitiveness and productivity of our clients and the fulfillment of the candidates”. Empresa Inclusiva aims at providing an excellent service to the Peruvian leading enterprises that enables them to solve their needs on how to value diversity and develop competences in these people with the ultimate goal of increasing productivity in the organization. To achieve this, we have a well-trained staff in methodology and practical tools. The service will be offered through business visits scheduled in a weekly agenda and done by the service representative. This agenda will be previously approved by the Administration, and in the medium-term we expect to – with no need to open a branch office – take this agenda to other cities. The service itself consists on raising awareness and advise the enterprise on how to approach disability and foster inclusion, how to include competent disabled people in the organization (orientation program), and how to support and monitor the inclusion process so that it turns out to be effective and sustainable. The first how-to analyzes and assesses the work environment and the job position offered with the purpose of understanding and guiding the enterprise towards an organizational culture that fosters the inclusion process. The second how-to seeks to support in the selection process of the disabled employee, and include her through the right orientation program. Finally, the third how-to aims at assuring the sustainability of the selected candidate, which includes a performance assessment to show the obtained benefits from the investment in her talent. This business model presents a cost-effective and unique proposal, which requires an investment of 233 740 Peruvian nuevos soles with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 35,62 %. This exceeds significantly the cost of capital. In a five-year assessment period, the project leads to an attractive return for investors generating a net present value of 129 818,75 Peruvian nuevos soles.
