The objective of this research was to identify the relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomic risk in nursing staff at a public hospital, San Juan de Lurigancho 2023. Regarding the methodology, we worked under a quantitative, non-experimental approach, correlational scope and cross section. There was the participation of 60 nursing professionals, including graduates and technicians. The technique for the variable “musculoskeletal disorder” was the Nordic Questionnaire, proposed by Kuorinka; and as a measurement tool for the “ergonomic risk” variable, the “Observation Guide with the Use of the REBA Method” was used, presented by researchers Sue Hignett and Lynn McAtamney. Regarding the results, for the musculoskeletal disorder variable it was observed that 83.3% reported experiencing discomfort in the last 12 months, while 16.7% reported having had no symptoms; For the ergonomic risk variable, it was observed that 25% are located at a very high level, 35% at a high level, 21.7% at a medium level, 1.7% at a low level and 0% at an negligible level. Finally, it is possible to identify the correlation between the variables with a result of p = 0.001, which is below the significance level = 0.05.
