ABSTRACT We all have needs and customs, these are inherent of the place in which we were born. Some people could say that, for this reason, all we will match that we are different. Starting from this premise, and analysis of the current situation, the existence of a problem in the housing design is evident. All are the same, or similar. Housing standard and static, are tenets of the old functional model born in modernity as a res- ponse to the needs and lifestyle of that time. However almost a century has passed, other needs have arisen, the pace of life has changed but the House does not. The current model of housing for sectors B and C is comprised of the same program and functional scheme. Aimed at a family standard of 5 people, if your family is composed of more simply not you fit. This problem is caused by the same housing unit, which has no possibility of modification since they are built by rigid systems, saturating the space of structural walls, enclosing namespaces instead of opening them. This has support on economic reasons. In other words, they try to adapt the family housing rather than adapt housing to the family. The family as every living organism, is evolutionary, the only thing constant in it is change. Their habitat must reflect this mode exist, given that the new styles of life, thanks to the inclusion of technology, requerier a new type of enclosure that needs constant and varied residents welcome. Actually, there is a great demand for housing in areas B and C. This gets solution with the construction of units. The problem starts when the people habits them, the dissatisfaction of the habitants with regard to its housing is viral, this problem not only involves the design of housing, it encompasses social, economic, urban areas, etc. This research seeks to provide an alternative solution to this problem. So it is necessary to study a similar background, in order to provide us with the information required for the interpretation of the current model. At the same time, as learn to unlearn involved, this project will not be influenced by current models. Ending quote to the Danish architect Aulis Blomstedt who summarizes all this in the following: "For an architect, rather than the ability to imagine spaces, the important thing is the ability to imagine life".
