ABSTRACT This research aims to propose an approach the solar radiation using passive solar control devices on the facades of the draft Public Library Trujillo, acting as protection. These systems are used to help direct the light in order to achieve a better distribution of light in the environment and use of natural light. The use of passive solar control devices in the building is directly related to the components of architectural design, because according to the location of the volumes, the shape of the building and the role that environment, you can apply the type of device required in each front, in addition to its sizing and orientation, this applied research project requires us to work simultaneously both variables, so that the design process is no variable sacrifice, so that the best results are obtained for the project. In our local area, we have reference to the libraries of the UPN and UPAO universities that offer solar control systems in their buildings as sunshades, blinds, metal blinds, eaves or skirts, overhead lighting, light shelves, etc., used for directing the light, providing its best development, respecting the environment as well as the activities that take place in it.
