ABSTRACT The present investigation was to determine the relationship between the institutional climate and job performance of teachers at the Graduate School of the National University of Cajamarca, 2017. The work is part of quantitative and qualitative research, and results follow a correlational descriptive study to establish the relationship of the dimensions of the institutional climate with job performance, a situation that was proven via the testing of the hypothesis by gamma test, which shows that the value of this statistic is highly significant (p <0.01) for ordinal variables, therefore this hypothesis is accepted to a confidence level of 99%. The population of teachers School graduate reaches 104. The study consistent instruments were used questionnaires to measure the institutional climate and job performance. Regarding the data collected were processed using SPSS 24 for respective analysis and interpretation. As relevant research findings states that 41.5% of teachers think that the institutional climate in the Graduate School is very favorable and 43.9% say that teacher performance is very good. However, there is a direct relationship weak grade (r = 0.376). Therefore, it is concluded that both the institutional climate and job performance are fundamental pillars to improve institutional organization. In this way, any variation in these, affect academic performance in students. Keywords: institutional climate and job performance
