The study had a quantitative approach with a non-experimental-cross-sectional design and correlational level. The sample consisted of 100 young patients. The results showed that the level of oral health behavior in young patients was "low" (48.0 %), while the level of knowledge of dental caries prevention was also "low" (51 %). Likewise, it was determined that the relationship between knowledge of prevalent pathologies and oral health behavior was high and positive (Rho = 0.905); and the relationship between knowledge of risk factors and oral health behavior was also significant (Rho = 0.867). Finally, it was concluded that there is a very high and significant correlation between the level of oral health behavior and the level of knowledge in dental caries prevention (p-value = 0.000 and Rho = 0.900)
