The experiment was carried out in the Horticultural Plant Teaching and Research Workshop of the Faculty of Agronomy-UNAP, located at Km 3 Zungarococha highway, south of the city of Iquitos, District of San Juan Bautista, The type of research was experimental explanatory, prospective, transversal with an independent variable (dose of chicken manure) and nine dependent variables (plant height, plant extension, root length, root weight, number of leaves / plant, head diameter, total weight of the plant, weight of the head / plant and the weight of heads / ha. The general objective was to determine the effects of the doses of chicken manure on the agronomic characteristics and crop yield of Lactuca sativa L. var. Great Lakes " lettuce ”, Zungarococha-Loreto. 2019. The experimental design was that of Completely Random Blocks, with four treatments and four repetitions. The treatments studied were: T1 with 30 t of chicken manure / ha (control); T2 with 40 t of chicken manure / ha; T3 with 50 t of chicken manure / ha and T4 with 60 t of chicken manure / ha. Regarding the results,; Regarding the number of leaves / plant, treatments T4 and T3 presented the best results with 12 leaves / plant respectively; Regarding the diameter of the head, T4 had the best diameter with 33 cm .; Regarding the total weight of the plant, T4 had the highest weight with 403 g; in relation to head / plant weight, T4 had the highest average weight with 193 g, followed by T3 with 99 g .; then the T2 with 97 g. and finally the T1 with 85 g. and regarding the weight of heads / ha, T4 had the highest result with 12,867 Kg / ha; later, to T2 that obtained 6,467 Kg / ha and finally to T1 that reached a weight of 5,667 Kg / ha.
