The structural analysis and design are very important stages when carrying out a study befare construction. A few years ago, performing structural calculations was a challenging and arduous task that could take weeks. Currently, with new methodologies and technologies, the structural analysis has evolved so that computers can be programmed to perform these calculations efficiently and quickly and thus optimize work times. On the other hand, mobile technology has also evolved. In recent years, mobile technology has drastically increased worldwide. Currently, mobile devices are not only useful for communication via telephone calls; but also, they have useful applications for the daily life of the population, so they are becoming essential tools. In addition, with the increase of memory capacity and data processing of these devices, there are new alternatives for the creation of basic and advanced mobile applications, which can be shared worldwide through app stores such as Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore. Mobile devices can be used at any time since people carry them everywhere. In the professional field, this is of great help, since, for example, in civil engineering, there are always problems on site and unforeseen changes have to be made. lf there were mobile applications for solving problems on site, this would reduce the time lost on site and generate less economic losses. Therefore, in this research, it is proposed to develop a mobile application that allows calculations and structural designs to perform verifications or rapid changes on site, thus reducing waiting times caused by structural design problems. lt would also help to have better RFI management, providing the consultant with a solution proposal which they can analyze quickly and finally make the decision. In addition, this research is not only focused on trying to mitigate the problems encountered in the field, but also to encourage university students to investigate more about the topic of mobile technology and thus be able to offer a variety of mobile applications that can be used in the professional field and continue to promete the use of smartphones.
