Much of the knowledge acquired so far on chia (Salvia hispánica L.) is related to the quality of the seed and genetic aspects. Although there are several works that account for the different responses of this crop to the contribution of the various elements that make up the pattern of mineral fertilization, there is no greater background in Peru in this regard. This fact alone justifies his agronomic research. For this reason, an agronomic trial was carried out in the Laboratory and Greenhouse of Soil Fertility "Sven Villagarcía", located in the campus of the National Agrarian University La Molina, with the purpose of determining the effect of the exclusion of macro and micro nutrients in the fertilization of Chia cultivation. Eight treatments were studied: six treatments were subjected to the exclusion of an element in its fertilization, being the elements N, P, K, Mg, S, and micro nutrient (Cu, Mn, Fe, B and Mo), while the Treatment 7 is the control without fertilization, and treatment 8, is the control with complete fertilization. The study corresponded to the different formulas with the exclusion of mineral elements essential in mineral nutrition under dosages theoretically assumed as ideal. The treatments were statistically evaluated comparatively with the Duncan test with a 0.05 level of significance. The parameters to be evaluated were: number of inflorescences, total dry matter, plant height, foliar extraction of the nutrients, and the symptoms of their deficiencies for each treatment. The results obtained showed that for the number of inflorescences, total dry matter and plant height, nitrogen and phosphorus deficiencies were highly significant, corroborating their importance in the development of the Salvia hispánica L. crop. Regarding the effect of the exclusion of macro and micro elements in the extraction of nutrients was obtained a fertilization excluding N and P is as not to fertilize, it is so a synergy of nitrogen and phosphorus in relation to an absorption of most of the mineral elements important for the development of productive chia. On the other hand, with respect to the micro nutrients, their absences were not significant
