Analysis of tourism awareness in the native community Chirikyacu district of San Roque, San Martin 2021 The present study is entitled "Analysis of tourism awareness in the native community of Chirikyacu, district of San Roque, San Martin 2021". The native community of Chirikyacu, politically belons to San Roque, a district of the province of Lamas, located within the regional conservation area “Cordillera Escalera”. The native community has a living culture, its community members, even nowadays maintain their customs, traditions, ancestral knowledge, has natural resources, says Sanchez (2017) included the Waterfalls of Atoruna, Unguhuari. Talefan, Sunipi Cahuasami and Chirapillo. Even so, the tourist flow it receives is low with respect to the tourist offer of the region. Therefore, the general objective was to analyze the level of tourism awareness of the residents of the native community of Chirikyacu, district of San Roque, San Martin 2021. This was a basic research with a descriptive level, where the study population was based on 91 community members of legal age, using a survey and a questionnaire as an instrument. The result showed that in the knowledge dimension, 74% have historical and geographical knowledge of their community as well as environmental knowledge dimension, 41.1% affirmed that they have knowledge about the use of solid waste. In the same way, in the dimension of tourism values, 67.3% affirmed that the community has values and reflects this in the fair payment of lodging, accommodation and guided services. Similarly, in the dimension of tourism attitudes, 52.7% stated that visitors are received with respect and cordiality. On the other hand, it was demonstrated that the variable of tourism awareness in the native community of Chirikyacu is 82.4%, its level is regular, and tourism awareness in the native community of Chirikyacu is practical, but the low flow it receives is due to exogenous situations that directly affect the community such as the access road (affirmed dirt road) and constant climatic changes (rains) that are presented as conditioning factors for the development of tourism in the area.
