Abstract: El objetivo fue evaluar el efecto diurético del extracto, para el estudio se utilizaron 20 ratas albinas. Se determinó el %EVU y el %AD, encontrando la presencia de metabolitos como compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides y alcaloides. Se determinó el %EVU con valores del 39.6%, 98.7%, 50.7%, 68% y 92% para los grupos suero fisiológico, furosemida 10 mg/kg, extractos a 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg y 600 mg/kg. Además, para el %AD se determinó porcentajes del 40%,100%, 51%, 69% y 93% para los grupos de suero fisiológico, furosemida 10 mg/kg, extractos a 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg y 600 mg/kg. Se concluye que el extracto hidroalcohólico a la concentración de 600 mg/kg, es similar al control positivo de furosemida de 10 mg/kg.

The objective was to evaluate the diuretic effect of the extract, 20 albino rats were used for the study. The %EVU and %AD were determined, finding the presence of metabolites such as phenolic compounds, flavonoids and alkaloids. The %EVU was determined with values of 39.6%, 98.7%, 50.7%, 68% and 92% for the physiological saline, furosemide 10 mg/kg, extracts at 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg groups. In addition, for the %AD, percentages of 40%, 100%, 51%, 69% and 93% were determined for the physiological saline, furosemide 10 mg/kg, extracts at 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg groups. It is concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract at the concentration of 600 mg/kg, is similar to the positive control of furosemide 10 mg/kg.
