The purpose of the study presented is to determine if alcohol consumption is the prevailing cause of the complaint processes for intrafamily violence in the second civil court of Canchis, Cusco in the year 2020. Where alcohol consumption affects in various ways in the field social and family with legal relevance, characterized by the uncontrolled intake of alcohol, since it generates physical and emotional dependence, causes lack of impulse control, and lack of reasoning in the behavior of people, this is evidenced in the 15 files reviewed in the second civil court of Canchis, on complaints of domestic violence. The methodology responds to the quantitative approach, correlational scope, not experimental. The type of legal investigation is framed in criminal law. The scope of study includes the records of the process of domestic violence. Finally, the results indicate that a higher number of the total sample investigated has presented processes of violence within their family, which lead to legal proceedings, similar to the percentage of cases where the aggressor presented symptoms of alcohol consumption, the inferential results show a very low positive correlation, since Spearman's Rho yielded the value of 0.192, evidencing a very low positive correlation, added to a bilateral significance of 0.015, which shows a significant relationship. In this understanding, there is a significant relationship between the variable alcohol consumption and the processes of intrafamily violence, however, it is one of the factors that is present in cases of intrafamily violence in the silver context.
