The purpose of this document is to develop and implement a proposal to improve efficiency in the crate washing service in the poultry sector using the method engineering tool. For this study, an exhaustive analysis was carried out that involved taking 80 times in trucks transporting 900 crates each. The main objective of this study was to increase the operational efficiency of the company. The model is presented in two different parts: first, it includes a detailed diagnosis of Medium and Small Poultry Enterprises in relation to fattening farms. This diagnosis highlights the existing gaps compared to the efficiency of the Peruvian poultry sector. The second part of the model consists of the implementation proposal, which is divided into six specific steps: preparation of diagrams that show the current situation, definition of key indicators of the existing process, correction of methods, standardization of methods, time study and, finally, the creation of the control plan to improve the proposals. In the implementation of this project, a 21% improvement in operational efficiency will be observed. In addition, it was possible to reduce the cycle time from 139 minutes to 103 minutes and generate annual savings of S/. 157,337. As part of the comprehensive analysis of the project, an economic and financial cash flow was prepared to determine its viability. This case study not only exemplifies the positive impact of method engineering in the poultry field, but also highlights the importance of continuous improvement and efficiency in the industry.
