In order to determine if the sociodemographic characteristics influence in the level of knowledge and attitude towards responsible parenthood in the adolescents at the secondary level of Cesar Vallejo High School Trujillo 2015; a non-experimental descriptive study was conducted on 187 students, who they were applied a poll of three sections: about sociodemographic characteristics, level of knowledge and attitude. We find that: 59.4% of respondents were male and 40.6% female; 83.9% come from urban areas and 16.16% in rural areas; 43.4% are nuclear families, 34.2% are extended families, 12.8% are single parent families, 5.9% are separated parents and 3.7% of monoparenteral family. We conclude that: age (p = 0.022) and the kind of family (p = 0.010) influence the level of knowledge against responsible parenthood among adolescents and only age (p = 0.008) influence in the level of attitude among the responsible parenthood.
