Objective: This research aimed to compare the pH of saliva in different trimesters. Materials and Methods: The study consisted of 513 pregnant women 18-32 years of Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo. The pregnant women were divided into three groups of 171 pregnant each according to trimester, saliva sample of all pregnant women was taken and the pH meter Universal Test Paper was used to obtain the results of salivary pH. Comparing the ph in each trimester of pregnancy was performed by ANOVA statistical test for independent groups. Prior to the application of such tests compliance delos assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variances of the groups was verified, using tests and Bartlett ShapiroWilk respectively. A significance level of 5% was considered. Results: When comparing salivary pH in different trimesters were observed no significant differences between groups (P = 0.970) (Table 1). Conclusion: The results showed that salivary pH did not vary significantly in different trimesters. In the first trimester of pregnancy was taken as the average value of salivary pH 6.64 (Table 2). In the second trimester of pregnancy was taken as the average value of salivary pH 6.63 (Table 3). In the third trimester of pregnancy was taken as the average value of salivary pH 6.63 (Table 4).
