The main objective of this research was the development and implementation of the 5s's methodology to increase productivity in the storage system of the metalworking Juvisa SAC, a metalworking company that is dedicated to the manufacture of machinery that is currently used in the Metallurgy industry, Construction and Agroindustry. Its production process consists of 4 stages: machining of parts, cutting, assembling the structure and painting the product. During the manufacturing process of their products, the incorporation of the tools and the supply of parts, we were able to determine that it generated an opportunity for the application of the 5's methodology, due to the fact that the activities present delays in the production process related to the delays caused. by the organization's storage system. Through a 5’s diagnostic survey, a clearer picture of the problem was detected, later with the Ishikawa and Pareto diagram the root cause of the problem was determined, and the product with the highest demand (Mining Carts). A study of times and averages was carried out, which was detailed in tables of activities by processes; Then the supply times for tools, supplies and necessary equipment were analyzed, as well as the plant's ability to keep products in process and finished products in stock. Thanks to this, it was calculated that the production prior to the implementation of the 5’s methodology was units with a productivity of 1.54, while the production after the implementation of the methodology was 10 units with a productivity of 1.61. Finally, a team committed to improving the conditions of the storage system, classification and order and discipline was formed.
