To determine if anxiety is associated with musculoskeletal problems in 6th year medical students who received virtual education. Material and Methods: An analytical, observational, cross-sectional study was carried out. There were 191 who accepted to participate, and after applying selection criteria, a sample of 186 students were randomly chosen. They were given the virtual questionnaire that included the Zung Test for anxiety and the Nordic Questionnaire for musculoskeletal problems. Data were analyzed using Pearson's Chi Square statistical test. Results: 70% of the 6th year medical students had anxiety and 81% had musculoskeletal problems. The prevalence of anxiety in students with musculoskeletal problems was 64%, while in those students without musculoskeletal problems it was 6%, a difference that was significant for the statistical analysis (p <0.05). In the multivariate analysis, it was observed that the factors associated with musculoskeletal problems were: hours of study per day, origin and sedentary lifestyle (p <0.05). Conclusions: Anxiety is a factor associated with musculoskeletal problems in 6th year medical students who received virtual education.
