To establish the association between preterm birth and SARS-CoV2 infection in pregnant women treated at the Santa Rosa de Piura hospital, 2021. Methods: the investigation was carried out through a Correlational, descriptive, analytical analysis of retrospective cohort, for which there was a population of 3574 women who presented delivery at 2021, of which 779 presented delivery preterm and 117 were diagnosed with SARS-CoV2, all of them were treated at the Santa Rosa de Piura Hospital, this hospital being selected as a covid hospital, the data was obtained, through a data collection form and an odd ratio was applied, for verification of the degree of association. Results: The presence of preterm birth is very similar between those who had coV-2 infection (22.2%) and those who did not (20.5%), the age corresponded to women between 30 and 39 years (23.7), the absence of previous pregnancies increases the chances of infection by coV-2 OR=1.87 (95% CI: 1.22 -2.86); while exclusions inhibit it OR=0.747 (95% CI: 6.2 – 0.91), the presence of prenatal controls reduces the chances of presenting covid19 OR=0.581 (95% CI: 0.48 – 0.71). Conclusion: no significant association was found between SARS-CoV2 infection in pregnant women and the presence of premature births
