To evaluate the association between sociodemographic factors (age, education, origin, occupation) and obstetric factors (gestational age, complete prenatal checkups, parity, history of preeclampsia and threatened abortion, intrapartum hemorrhage) with the presence of anemia in adolescent postpartum vaginal delivery women attended at the Chulucanas Hospital during the months of January to March 2021. Methods: An analytical, cross-sectional, and retrospective study was carried out. The sample consisted of 68 adolescent postpartum women attended by vaginal delivery at the Chulucanas Hospital from January to March 2021. The technique of documentary analysis of the medical records was used, and a data collection form was used as an instrument. Bivariate and multivariate analysis was performed to evaluate associations. Results: The prevalence of moderate anemia was 16.2% and mild anemia 83.8%. The most predominant age of the postpartum women was 17 to 19 years old and most of them had secondary education (80.9%). Most of the deliveries occurred with a gestational age ≥ 37 weeks (58.8%), mainly primiparous and with 6 or more prenatal controls. In the bivariate analysis, an association was only identified with respect to maternal age and the number of prenatal controls; however, in the multivariate analysis adjusted for sociodemographic variables, factors associated with the degree of higher technical education were identified (PR = 0.67, 95% CI = 0.67, 95% CI = 0.67). 67, CI95%= 0.48 - 0.93), having received 6 or more prenatal controls (PR=1.40, CI95%= 1.16 - 1.69) and history of preeclampsia (PR=0.87, CI95%= 0.76 - 0.93). Conclusions: There is a relationship between sociodemographic and obstetric factors with the prevalence of anemia in adolescent puerperal women
