This thesis entitled Improvement of the Mechanical Properties of Adobe Brick by Adding Overall Mucilage, San Juan De Bigote District, Piura Department, whose main objective is to improve the mechanical properties of adobe bricks by adding overall mucilage, proposing the question "Will it improve the mechanical properties of adobe bricks by adding overall mucilage? In this thesis identified according to its type as Applied Research, according to its Contrasting Design as Transversal Non-Experimental Research and according to its level as Descriptive Research, assisting us with data documentation techniques and direct observation, with instruments such as test sheets, photos and equipment. automated; beginning with the collection of material necessary for the elaboration of adobe as well as the collection of the Cordia Lutea fruit to verify that the material is suitable for the elaboration of adobe regulated in E.080; physical tests were applied to corroborate the presence of clay and its plasticity. Afterwards, the adobe was elaborated with the measures of 8 cm in height, 15 cm in width and 30 cm in length and cubes with the measures of 10 cm per edge for the mechanical tests regulated by the Peruvian technical standard E.080:2017. In the unit compression test applied to the cube of 10 cm per edge, it showed that it exceeds the resistance by adding 15% of overall mucilage, giving us 14 kgf/cm2, exceeding the requirement set forth in the E.080 standard and giving us a 17% improvement with adobes without mucilage. In the wall compression test applied to the 8*15*30cm adobe, it showed that it exceeded the resistance by adding 15% of overall mucilage, giving 11 kgf/cm2, exceeding the requirement of the E.080 standard and giving a 57% improvement over the adobes without mucilage. The suction test applied to the 8*15*30cm adobe showed that it exceeded the resistance by adding 15% of overall mucilage, giving us 13 g/min/cm2 and giving us a 200% improvement over the adobes without mucilage. These results are supported by the Docimasia with a confidence of 99%. Concluding that the expected results were achieved, suggesting the application of overall mucilage in the adobe due to the waterproofing issue that exceeds the limits established in the standard
