The purpose of this work is to present an improvement in the service level of ventilation chimney drilling companies for underground mines, which play a highly important role in the client's performance. The study is based on gathering information about how the service is carried out and the time it takes, aiming to minimize any downtime and enhance production hours by applying industrial engineering tools such as inventory management, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), particularly focusing on the pillars of autonomous maintenance and planned maintenance. Upon analyzing unproductive times, equipment failures and lack of inventory control were identified as contributing to production stoppages, adversely affecting project delivery within the agreed-upon timeline with the client. For the identified mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures, TPM tools were applied as a pilot study. To calculate inventory levels accurately, the correct Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) was determined, and an ABC analysis of critical spare parts was conducted. Additionally, KPIs were established for measurement both before implementing the proposed solutions and afterward. The results obtained after the pilot period showed improvement in the KPIs, leading to enhanced production times and an elevated level of service. Economically, the outcome was positive when compared to the previous situation.
