The hydrocarbon inspection process has improved over time, which is why the oil production operating companies have gradually lagged the tank-by-capacity inspection method. Continuous flow meters are currently used, since the sensors that are available can calculate some quality parameters that characterize crude oil. In addition, these sensors contribute to the correction for pressure and temperature of the volume. However, to guarantee correct and optimal measurement, it is important to have an optimal measurement factor and correct pulse counting, so the parameters of pressure, temperature, flow, operating conditions extrinsic to the equipment, among others, must be considered in the study. An unstable pulse measurement and accounting factor will generate an erroneous control volume, so the profitability of the oil project will be affected. The objective of this work is to guarantee the correct and optimal measurement of the audited volume in the oil auditing process. To achieve this objective, a methodology must be carried out that allows optimizing the behavior of the measurement factor and pulse counting under certain operating conditions. The methodology that will be proposed will serve to improve the reliability of the inspection through dynamic measurement, guaranteeing the profitability of oil projects and avoiding any observation by government entities.
