Lima is one of the Latin American capitals with high traffic flow, reflecting the need for an interurban system such as interconnected metro lines. Due to this need, the Lima and Callao Urban Transport Master Plan is presented, in which a medium-capacity system consisting of six (06) metro lines is proposed, where Line 2 presents, as one of its peculiarities, be underground. The uncertainty in the final engineering study and the execution of a subway line in Lima is greater due to the lack of a regional background, where there may be notable variations in costs, time and scope. To meet the deadline for the execution of an underground passenger station, a risk management model is presented, based mainly on the guidelines of the PMBOK "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge" 6th. This edition is endorsed by the Project Management Institute (PMI). In the development of this work, you will find the generalities of the transportation system, risk management, and detail and analysis of the possible risks inherent in an underground metro station; both to enrich and give meaning to a risk management model. Besides, the development of the research work presents a range of tools and techniques supported by the PMBOK, to respond to possible risks in an underground passenger station. It should be noted that the area of the research work is the construction department; however, for the cross-sectional analysis, concepts of structural analysis, geotechnical analysis, and hydraulic analysis are included, together with the specific characteristics of the transport area, since it is a Metro line. The proposed risk management model allows to identify the hazards and associated risks, that will be identified through a risk assessment based on the probability and impact of the identified risk. It is possible to qualify it qualitatively with the use of a classification based on colors that are related to those of the traffic light; It is also possible to carry out a quantitative risk analysis. For the analysis in the execution period, a Montecarlo simulation and a PERT analysis are mainly carried out with a simplified schedule of the main items of one of the stations of Line 2 of the Lima's Metro, the Insurgentes station. The Monte Carlo simulation performs an iteration of different scenarios to obtain the probability of occurrence of the resulting events, thereby estimating the project execution time. The risk management model ends in a response plan where actions to eliminate and / or mitigate risks are identified, and a continuous process of monitoring and controlling certain risks depending on the type of risk and the nature of the project. It should be noted that, for the validate of this research work, it is not enough to carry out the risk management model, is vitally important to put it into practice with the support and commitment of the organization and stakeholders in general.
