Convergence occurs when poor economies grow up faster than the rich economies, thus the differences between them diminish during the time. As the empiric evidence shows that the speed of convergence is slow, it is necessary to add explicative variables of the steady state. The objective of this thesis is to determine what are the factors which have influence in the convergence between the peruvian regions in three periods: 1972-1981, 1981-1993 y 1994-2007. In order to determine these factors, a non linear least square model was estimate. This model is obtained from the neoclassical growth theory and it was introduced by Robert Barro. The results say that the variable which has influence in the convergence between the regions is the human capital, specially, the university level of education.
