The image around people with disabilities has been influenced by the media, such as television and cinema. Media that have biased them as deserving of pity or admiration. However, with the development of the Internet and technology, new spaces for the expression of identities were enabled, such as YouTube. Accordingly, the objective of this research is to analyze how disability is self-represented in the content of youtubers Molly Burke and Edna Serrano. For the collection of information, a content analysis guide was applied to the ten most popular videos of both youtubers. The guide measures four dimensions: the theme of the videos, the performance of the youtubers, the youtuber-environment relationships (composed of the environments and the people that surround them) and the interactivity generated by the content. The results show that the presence of disability in the theme is diverse and varies according to the type of mention and the approach. In relation to performance, it does not seek to hide or emphasize disability. Regarding the youtuber-environment relationship, accessibility and attitudinal barriers were identified. And in regards to interactivity, it facilitates the creation of a community where five types of commentators interact: educators, lawyers, supporters, fans and heaters. In conclusion, the channels of both youtubers self-represent disability with naturalness, heterogeneity and diversity. Which is beneficial to subvert the stereotypes around these people.
