The productive base of the Loreto region is based on primary products belonging to mining, fishing and agriculture. The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between agricultural activity and the Gross Added Value of the Loreto region, in the period 2015 - 2019. In line with this objective, this Quantitative type study is carried out, Correlational level and non-experimental design. The investigation concludes that there is no relationship between agricultural production and the Gross Added Value of the Loreto region during the period 2015 - 2019, conclusion based on the result of the Correlation Coefficient that was r = 0.203054363; and the Coefficient of Determination R2 = 0.041231074; results that demonstrate the non-existence of statistical association and determination between the variables referred to above. In that same sense, regional agricultural production has cassava as its main products, with a volume of 2,061,086.00 MT. (28.04%), and banana with 1,377,155.00 MT. (18.74%), being both essential products in the diet of the Amazonian population. 73.82% of agricultural production was destined for the domestic market, equivalent to 5,425,790.00 MT.; and 26.18% oriented to the industry with 1,923,939.00 MT. The Gross Added Value shows a growing behavior of 1.62% annual average during the five-year period, measured at constant prices taking 2007 as the base year.
