Abstract: El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación tuvo como finalidad determinar la relación entre el pensamiento crítico y las habilidades metacognitivas en los oficiales alumnos del Diplomado en Liderazgo y Gestión de la Compañía de Infantería del Ejército – 2019. El nivel fue descriptivo - correlacional, no experimental, además de tener un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada. La población fue conformada por 44 oficiales alumnos, la muestra fue censal. Los cuestionarios que se aplicaron estuvieron conformados por: 9 ítems para la variable pensamiento crítico y 9 ítems para la variable habilidades metacognitivas, éstos fueron relacionados empleando la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman. El instrumento fue validado por medio del juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad por el Alfa de Cronbach, la cual fue 0.894. Los resultados conseguidos afirmaron que existe una correlación significativa entre el pensamiento crítico y las habilidades metacognitivas en los oficiales alumnos del Diplomado en Liderazgo y Gestión de la Compañía de Infantería del Ejército – 2019.

The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between critical thinking and metacognitive skills in official students of the Diploma in Leadership and Management of the Army Infantry Company - 2019. The level was descriptive - correlational, non-experimental, in addition to having a quantitative, applied type approach. The population was made up of 44 student officers, the sample was census. The questionnaires that were applied were made up of: 9 items for the variable critical thinking and 9 items for the variable metacognitive skills, these were related using Spearman's Rho statistical test. The instrument was validated through expert judgment and reliability by Cronbach's Alpha, the which was 0.894. The results obtained confirmed that there is a correlation relationship between critical thinking and metacognitive skills in officers students of the Diploma in Leadership and Management of the Army Infantry Company – 2019.
