The project "Incorporation of the Last Planner System® methodology in the planning of the project Construction of Phase 2 of the South Zone Container Port Terminal at the Callao Port Terminal (TPZS)" has as its main objective to integrate the principles of the Last Planner System® in the management of port infrastructure projects, providing an effective solution to address the complexity and uncertainty inherent to this type of investments. In this context, through the implementation of a project management plan based on the PMBOK® Guide - Sixth Edition and the System of the Ultimate Planner®, this study seeks to enrich existing management practices and serve as a model to improve the management of infrastructure projects in the country. By applying this approach, it is expected to achieve greater efficiency in project execution, improved coordination among work teams, reduced delays and increased client satisfaction. This case study provides an opportunity to demonstrate the feasibility and tangible benefits of integrating the Ultimate Planner System® into the management of port infrastructure projects, which could have a significant impact on the industry.
