The present research work entitled "Ergonomics and labor performance in the District Municipality of Oropesa, Province of Quispicanchi - Cusco -2022" had the main objective of determining the degree of correlation between the variable’s ergonomics and labor performance. For this reason, the methodological approach was quantitative, correlational scope, non-experimental cross-sectional design. It had the participation of 50 workers from the Municipality of Oropesa, who were surveyed as a technique and a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. Based on the analysis of the data, findings were obtained regarding the variables studied, where: ergonomics is inadequate and work performance is bad according to the respondents. Likewise, the hypothesis test showed that ergonomics and work performance are significantly positively correlated according to Chi2(x 2 calculated=30.915 > x 2 theoretical ) and Spearman's Rho = 0.786 with p-value less than 0.05 (p<0.05). Regarding environmental ergonomics and work performance, a significant correlation was also evidenced according to Chi 2 =16.725 and Spearman's Rho = 0.578 (p<0.05). Geometric ergonomics also has a significant relationship with work performance according to Chi 2 =24.392 and Spearman's Rho = 0.603 (p<0.05). Regarding temporary ergonomics and work performance, the Chi 2 was 10.963 and Spearman's Rho was equal to 0.468 (p<0.05), therefore, both variables are significantly related. Based on the results, it is concluded that ergonomics is a factor that directly affects work performance.
