The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention in millennial employees of the public sector in municipalities of Lima Central Sur, 2021. For its development, two standardized questionnaires were applied to millennial employees of the public sector. This led to the conclusion that 69 % of the employees had a low level of work engagement, 21 % had a regular level and 10 % a high level, on the other hand, with respect to the intention of rotation, 76 % indicated have a high level about the intention to leaving their job, 14 % a low level and 9 % a regular level, it is also evident that the association between the work engagement variable and the turnover intention variable was classified as negative, moderate, and significant (Rho = -0.581, p <.05); In the same way, the relationship between the rotation intention variable and the following dimensions: vigor (Rho = -0.575, p <.05), absorption (Rho = -0.572, p <.05) and dedication (Rho = -0.582, p <.05).
