An experiment was conducted with the objective to assess the effect of two levels of palm kernel cake (3 and 6 percent) and the inclusion of β-glucanase and xylanase (0.05 percent) on the productive response in laying hens. A total of 216 laying hens were used from the 46week-old pink egg Hy-Line Brown line for a period of 12 weeks. The statistical model used was completely randomized blocks with 3x2 factorial arrangement with six treatments and six repetitions per treatment. The inclusion of three percent of palm kernel cake significantly improved the average egg weight compared to the control. The six percent level of palm kernel cake with and without cellulolytic enzymes; did not show a better effect than control, with respect to initial weight, final weight, weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, egg production, egg mass, energy consumption, protein consumption, lysine consumption, methionine consumption + cystine, yolk pigmentation, yolk height, shell thickness, clear height and Haugh units. T1 control treatment (without palm kernel and without enzymes) presented the highest economic retribution and economic merit in relation to the others
