The research was carried out in the installations of the Laboratory of Research in Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Crustaceans (LINAPC) of the academic department of Nutrition of the faculty of zootechnics of the Agraria La Molina University (UNALM), the elaboration of the food was in the plant of balanced foods of the faculty of zootecnia of the UNALM. The objective of this study was to determine the apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, ethereal extract, nitrogen free extract and the digestible energy of soybean meal (Glycine max) for Red Sprout (Brycon erythropterum) by determining the coefficient of apparent digestibility (CDA) using the method. Twenty-four juveniles of red-tailed shad were used, with an initial weight of 184.08 ± 4.37 grams and a size of 17.43 ± 0.16 cm, distributed in six Guelph-type digestible aquariums, with four fish each. The duration of the experimental phase was 30 days, between May and June of 2016, during which daily collections of feces were performed. The coefficient of apparent digestibility obtained on dry basis for soybean meal in juveniles of Red Shad (Brycon erythropterum) was 60.29 ± 2.12 percent for dry matter, 82.73 ± 2.72 for protein, 96.16 ± 0.41 for ethereal extract, 54.26 ± 4.18 for nitrogen-free extract and 78.17 ± 2.79 percent for crude energy. The digestible energy (ED) of soybean meal was 3.70 Mcal / kg on dry basis and 3.32 Mcal / kg on fresh basis (89.60% dry matter).
