GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the factors that influence the acceptance of vasectomy in policemen of the VII Macro Police Region Cusco in the year 2021. METHODOLOGY: Non-experimental, cross-sectional and non-probabilistic prospective quantitative research. DESCRIPTION: Within the characteristics of the population, it could be observed that most of the surveyed police personnel, 68.4% have the age between 24 to 34 years of age, 81.4% have a non-university higher education level, 84.4% are religious Catholic, 38.7% are single and 38.3% live together, 42.8% have only one child, 85.9% are cared for by FOSPOLI and 68% come from urban areas, from which we conclude that the responses obtained are consistent with the characteristics of the population. CONCLUSIONS: The investigation carried out led to the determination that there are characteristics that influence the acceptance of vasectomy in police officers of the VII Police Macro Region of Cusco: With respect to the educational characteristics, results of the applied survey; definitive method of family planning, procedure that prevents the passage of sperm into the vas deferens, applicable to men who no longer wish to have children, simple and safe method, scalpel vasectomy is a more effective technique, prerequisites for undergoing a vasectomy are criteria established according to the technical standard of family planning, the time that the vasectomy procedure takes is approximately 20-30 minutes, ambulatory that does not require hospitalization, vasectomy requires relative rest and presents minimal risk compared to ligation of tubes Concluding as a result average knowledge in 72.9%. With respect to the sociocultural characteristics, we can determine that there is an influence on the acceptance of vasectomy, evidenced in the items raised on the sociocultural characteristics; that causes premature ejaculation, birthplace influences the decision to access vasectomy, having a certain number of children is a requirement to undergo vasectomy, values the opinion of the family and friends to undergo vasectomy, and the opinion of the couple is paramount when choosing the vasectomy method, reaching the conclusion that they have mixes and deficiencies as a result at an average level of 69.5%. With respect to the economic characteristics, we can determine that there is an influence on the acceptance of vasectomy, thus evidencing in the survey applied to the policemen, where the economic income they receive monthly is a condition to undergo the vasectomy, the economic perception is adequate for the N ° of members of their family and the family planning service performs it in a particular way, verifying an average economic level of 42.4%.
