This research work was carried out in the native community of Santa Mercedes in the permanent sampling plot of the forest management area, with the objective of determining the increase in the volume of wood and the structure of the forest of the native community of Santa Mercedes, at the end of the 2-year period. According to the results obtained, it can be indicated that a total of 1,108 individuals were inventoried. The basal area shows a total increase of 1,986 m2 during a period. The increase in height was 0.58 m per tree, plot 7 had an increase of 0.54 m per tree while in plot 8 it was 0.62 m per tree. The increase in volume was 109.11 m³, with plot 8 being the one with the highest increase with 60.37 m³. Among the 30 most abundant species are the species; "purma caspi" with 103 individuals, followed by "shimbillo" with 98, cumala with 72 and machimango with 71 individuals. In the absolute and relative dominance of the species, the "shimbillo" stands out with 2,873 m2 of basal area, followed by the "machimango" with 2,392 m2; likewise, with less dominance we have the "pichirina", "sachamango" caspi with 0.007 m2 of basal area. In the Importance Value Index (IVI) of the 78 species found in the study area, five are the most representative for this forest: "shimbillo" with 20.14%, "purma caspi" 17.49%, “cumala 16.31%, machimango 16.12% and requia with 10.57%.The vertical structure of the forest is determined by trees whose height in the lower stratum does not exceed 14.7 m in height, the height in the middle stratum varies between 15 and 19.9 m, and the upper stratum corresponded to trees with heights above of the 20 m.
