The objective of this study is to characterize the environmental noise generated by automotive traffic and industries; in the mixed areas of Los Rosales, Santa Rosa, Colectora Industrial and Cascanueces avenues in the Santa Anita district, prioritizing residential areas and equipment areas (health facilities, educational institutions or others) that border industrial and commercial areas, identified thus according to the use of land of the municipality. In addition, it seeks to contribute technical information that is useful for the competent authorities, improve environmental conditions through recommendations, improve decision-making and strengthen the functions of environmental control and control according to municipal ordinances and national regulations established to regulate noise levels The importance of the study in these mixed areas is that the noise of the industries and the car park can be isolated or combined, sometimes combined with noise from shops and interact with Educational Institutions and homes. Vehicle traffic noise and that generated by some industries are measured based on the equivalent continuous level weighted in A and C and the difference in decibels (Lc-a) and sound pressure as a function of frequencies in octave bands. Background noise, minimum, maximum and peak values are also measured. The measurements are made during daytime and nighttime hours, considering the speed and the number of light and heavy vehicles for the automotive fleet. With the data obtained, noise levels are evaluated according to limits established by the National Environmental Quality Standards (ECA) for Noise according to the type of area, the main variables that influence the noise level, by means of the frequency spectrum is identified the existing tones and finally the noise maps are elaborated for both schedules.
