This thesis aimed at evaluating the compressing resistance of the compacted adobe with the addition of different levels of rice shell. The land used for the production of the units was extracted from the community of Zungarococha, from the Faculty of Agronomy, of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. The percentages of rice shell added in the adobe making were 30%, 40% and 50% with respect to the dry weight of the soil sample. The results of the adobe showed an increase in compression resistance with the average values of 15.28 Kg/cm2, 16.35 Kg/cm2 15.52 Kg/cm2- The data recorded for the purposes of the analysis of variance correspond to the drying of the adobe at ambient temperature from the first day with an average initial weight of 5.5 kg. for all adobe units, being the non-significant numerical difference in dry weight at 15 days of cooking and drying to the natural environment, time when the weight stabilizes and shows no weight loss due to moisture content. The 40% ratio of rice husk shows lower dry weight (4.03 kg), followed by the proportion 30% and 50% of rice husk (4.20 kg) respectively.
