The research work was carried out at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon in the Vaccine Project in the Fundo de Zungarococha, entitled METHOD OF PLANTATION AND CUTTING FREQUENCY AND ITS EFFECT ON THE AGRICULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE FORTH Tithonia diversifolia “GOLD BUTTON” IN IQUITOS - 2019. The evaluations were carried out at the tenth week after sowing with vegetative seed (stakes), in plots of 3 mx 1.2 m (3.6 m2) and an experimental area of 170 m2. With a Randomized Complete Block Design (DBCA), with a factor of 2 x 2 with four treatments and four repetitions, the treatments under study were: T1 (Vertical planting method * cutting frequency 50 days), T2 (Method of vertical planting * cutting frequency 60 days), T3 (Horizontal planting method * cutting frequency 50 days) and T4 (Horizontal planting method * cutting frequency 60 days), obtaining the following results: Planting methods influence the plant height growth, and the production of green matter and dry matter. In addition, it is concluded that the cutoff frequencies had a marked influence on the production indicators. The vertical sowing method (M1) was the one that obtained the best results in all the evaluation variables. With the cutoff frequency at 60 days, the best results were achieved in the evaluations of the agronomic variables of the Tithonia diversifolia forage or “golden button”. It should be noted that there is interaction with respect to planting methods and cutoff frequencies, method M1 and cutoff frequency FC2 have a better combination for both plant height, and production of green and dry matter, also for the coverage percentage.
