The study was carried out in natural forest and a plantation at CIEFOR Puerto Almendra FCF – UNAP, San Juan Bautista, Maynas, Loreto, Perú. The objetive was to determine if the degree of the total height-diameter relatiuonship is different in the growth of Ocotea aciphylla (Nees) Mez “canela moena” and Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) Ducke “tornillo” plants in natural forest and plantation. Plots 8 – strips “E” and “G” (“tornillo”) and plot 9-strips “A” and “F” (“canela moena””) of the plantation and the Arboretum “El Huayo” natural forest were used. The results indicate that in the diameter-total height relationship for the Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) Ducke “tornillo” plants in natural forest and plantation, the allometric model that best ajusted was the S-Curve; with excellent degree of relationship. Regarding the diameter- total heigt relationship of the Ocotea aciphylla (Nees) Mez “canela moena” plants, the allometric model that best adjusts to this relationship is Cubic in both conditions, with good to excellent relationship.
