The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Glass of Milk Program in the Urubamba District, and its impacts on the beneficiary population. This research is carried out in a 5-year evaluation period, it is descriptive and not experimental. Surveys were used as a research instrument, which was applied to 70 beneficiaries of the Glass of Milk Program. Among the most outstanding results we can observe that the Glass of Milk Program does not have a significant impact on malnutrition, academic performance and poverty reduction. The Glass of Milk Program cannot be considered to have a positive impact on the beneficiaries, since the amount of food granted is not enough, this because during the evaluation period the budget allocation is static and the average allocation in terms monetary per beneficiary is S / 14.43 soles monthly; likewise, there is no control over the beneficiaries. Although it is true, 68% of the budget allocation is distributed to children from 0 to 6 years old, who are considered as the first priority, there is also 5% that is distributed to disabled people who also receive support from the Food Supplementation Program. These drawbacks stem from the erroneous perception of the program since both the population and the municipal council consider that belonging to the program is a right rather than a benefit for the population living in poverty or extreme poverty. The Urubamba district has the necessary tools, but it needs to integrate those tools to make the Vaso de Leche program a well-oriented program with positive impacts on its beneficiary population.
