The research entitled “LEVEL OF ADHERENCE TO THE TREATMENT OF HEMODIALYSIS IN PATIENTS GOING TO THE ADOLFO GUEVARA VELASCO NATIONAL HOSPITAL - ESSALUD, CUSCO -2020“, whose objective was to determine the level of adherence to hemodialysis treatment in patients who come to the Adolfo Guevara Velasco National Hospital, Cusco - ESSALUD. Methodology: A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out with a sample of 80 patients. The technique used was the interview. The results: 62% of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment are female and 38% male, attending hemodialysis treatment 60% are over 55 years old, 30% are between 30 and 59 years old and only 10% are 12 years old. to 29 years. 35% reported that they are separated, 25% are single, 18,8% are dismissed, 12,5% are cohabitants and 8,8% are widowers. Regarding the employment situation of the patients receiving hemodialysis treatment, they are retired 43,8%, 38,8% are active, 17,5% are terminated. Regarding the duration of the hemodialysis session, 52,5% receive sessions of 2 to 3 hours, while 47,5% receive between 3 to 4 hours. of treatment 56,3% receive is in treatment for more than 4 years, 31,3% are between 2 to 3 years, and 8,8% consider that they receive treatment between 1 to 2 years and 3,8% are patients who are receiving treatment less than 12 months. 97,5% have high adherence and only 2,5% are low. Regarding the level of adherence in the socioeconomic subdimension, 60% have low adherence and 40% is high, according to technical assistance, 55% present high adherence and 45% is low, according to the adherence of the 100% therapy is high, 66,3% present a low level of adherence to disease and 33,8% is high, 62,5% present a high level in relation to patience and 37,5% is low.
