Descriptive study ,quantitative approach , retrospective, not experimental, cross-sectional , observational , case-control that evaluated 368 patients which were divided in to two groups , cases: 184 pregnant women with preeclampsia and controls: 184 pregnant women without preeclampsia ; which aims to identify risk factors associated with preeclampsia in pregnant women treated at the Hospital Antonio Lorena Cusco 2010-2014. Results: Regarding the social factors: 60 % in cases corresponds to under 20 and over 35 years old, and 67 % of controls corresponding to 20 to 35 years , the level of education 88% are study high in the study population , also they are cohabiting in more than 90 %, and occupation of housewife quintile compared to where they belong are mostly quintile IV; maternal factors regarding parity especially gilts and sows belongs to 77 % in cases and 64% in controls, prenatal care enough in the case group was 54 % and 57% in the control group, the body mass index of malnutrition , overweight and obesity is 88 % in the case group and 57% in the control group , as to intergenesic short-long periods 38 % in the case group , and 60% in the control group , similarly to the back ground , more than 70 % of the study population had no history of preeclampsia staff , the low and high gain is 78 % within the cases , while 55 % have a proper weight gain in controls for gestational age 73 % of cases are less than or equal to 37 weeks and older 40 weeks , 55% of controls corresponding to 37 to 40 weeks. Conclusions : Age is a risk factor for preeclampsia especially under extreme ages 20 years and above 35 years of age , the level of poverty quintiles III, IV y V come do a risk factor for preeclampsia because belong to the extreme and low poverty , parity is a risk factor for preeclampsia , especially in nulliparous and primiparous patients , due to their sultstatisti cally significant weight gain during glow-high pregnancy also would do a risk factor for preeclampsia because it has a strong association to present this disease , personal history of preeclampsia also comes to a risk factor for preeclampsia , is the showing a strong association to present this pathology ; Gestational age is a risk factor associated with increased preeclampsia especially less than 37 weeks and 35 weeks because there sultisstatisti cally significant and finally the occupationis also a risk factor for preeclampsia especially in pregnant women who are housewives home, has a moderate forcé association being statisti cally significant.
