Dental alterations are a variety of deviations from normal that may occur as a result of systemic, environmental, local, hereditary and traumatic factors, in which the shape of the teeth, the number, size, layout and development degree is affected. The main objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of dental alterations in panoramic radiographs of patients seen in the area of Orthodontics at Stomatology Clinic “Luis Vallejos Santoni“ of the Andina University of Cusco, during academic semesters 2014- I, 2014-II and 2015-I. The research was descriptive, retrospective and cross. The sample consisted of 150 panoramic radiographs of patients seen in the area of Orthodontics. The technique was used for data collection was the observation of radiographic images, the same that have been recorded in the research instrument. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics with frequency analysis. The prevalence of dental alterations in panoramic radiographs of patients seen in the area of Orthodontics Stomatology Clinic Andean University of Cusco was 23%; the most frequent alteration was the anodontia.
