The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between study habits and academic performance of the students of general education of the Andean University of Cusco, subsidiary Quillabamba, 2019-I. The methodology used was quantitative, with a non-experimental design, correlational scope for the collection of the information, the survey and documentary techniques were applied and the instruments applied were the questionnaire for study habits and recording of documentary information for academic performance. The study population was the general training students of the Andean University of Cusco, Quillabamba subsidiary and the sample consisted of 184 students. With a 95% confidence level of the chi-square test, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the study habits and academic performance of the students of general education of the Andean University of Cusco, Quillabamba subsidiary, 2019-I (p -value = 0.000 <0.05 The degree of relationship between these variables is 57.9% Of the students with bad study habits, 62.9% have an academic performance in the beginning and 31.4% in the process On the other hand, students with very good study habits show that 61.5% have outstanding academic achievement and 38.5% expected achievements, that is, there is a direct relationship between study habits and academic performance
